Dennis Campay is a mixed-media artist whose works embody a universal message, yet remain an extension of his Southern and European roots. He creates a fusion of Southern landscapes, old world architecture and European cultures. Doric columns, clapboard churches, fishing shanties, gray bodies of water, endless facades lining a street and almost always that white chair or a graceful black piano beckon you to another world. These slices of life could be from anywhere or nowhere, Campay leaves that up to the viewer.

Campay received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Atlanta College of Art in 1992 and currently resides in Jacksonville, Florida with his wife, Colette. Numerous solo and group exhibitions, awards and honors highlight his career to date, including participation in both the 1999 and 2001 Florence Biennale for Contemporary Art in Florence, Italy. Campay received an award from the Florence Biennale in 2001 for his work on paper and is now featured in the collection of the Morris Museum of Art. Campay's work has also been featured in Art & Antiques magazine; Steinway & Sons, a 150th commemorative magazine; New American Paintings, and in his book Campay: New Paintings by John T. Spike, published in 2002.
