Former Atlanta artist Mary Klein creates unique sculptural paintings by combining old, discarded materials with her vibrant paintings of seemingly ordinary subjects giving "new life" to these objects. "I take a pure and simple approach to my art hoping to evoke a cheerful thought or escape for everyone who sees my work. Many of the frames that house my paintings are old window frames or are constructed from materials salvaged from falling houses and buildings." Klein is nationally recognized for her soulful and eclectic approach. Her art is hanging in homes, businesses and galleries throughout the world, including permanent exhibits with The House of Blues. Klein is now living in Brooklyn, NY, and continues to show her work at Modern Primitive.
